The extraordinary actor Miguel Guilherme is the next guest on Paralaxe – Reading Club. The book he chose is Lord of the Flies, by William Golding — a narrative about collective survival after a disaster, which seems particularly relevant to our current times. We will hear the reasons for his choice and discuss it from there.

PARALLAX — Reading Club

We all have books that have left a mark on us. But no book is read the same way twice — not even by the same person!

Parallax, our new reading club, is based on this concept: reading is a change of perspective. As in the scientific definition, parallax corresponds to the apparent change in the position of an object caused by a change in the observer’s point of view — what a text reveals when the reader changes.

On the last Monday of each month, Parallax invites artists to share their favourite book: what they loved, what bothered them, what they didn’t understand. There will be well-known books, revisited books and other unexpected ones that open up unforeseen paths.

A public gathering for listening, conversation and discovery. Without excessive reverence and without ‘anxiety of influence’. Paralaxe is a cycle open to the public, full of curiosity, sharing and many secrets thrown in.
